Hello, my name is Murphy McKee! I am a University of Colorado Boulder student in my third year studying Environmental Product Design and Lighting Design.

My love for design came from growing up working for my mother, an Interior Designer who runs a home furnishing business, Grace Hill Design. When I was still living at home, I would help my mother every day after school by unboxing all the new products and furniture. Spending five days a week for almost five years, looking at the different designs that came through, really caught my interest. I also spent much of my time in the woodshop in high school. I was most passionate about my woodworking classes because I couldn't sit at a desk all day; I had to get up and work with my hands.

Before going to college, I always thought I wanted to be a Residential Architect, but I realized the scale was too large for me. I like working on a smaller scale to pay close attention to detail. I switched to Environmental Product Design, where I expanded my design capabilities. In the past two and a half years, I have improved my woodworking and Sketch-Up skills and started learning Abode, Rhino, and AutoCAD Programs.
